    Panasonic TX-P50U30B power issue

    Hi
Got my Panasonic plasma tv that stopped working suddenly.
Took out the cover all the leads from the powr baord in the middle apart of the main 220AC. and measured Vsus and 15V DC on P2 and P11 connector. Found nothing. Concluded it is the board
Replaced with a second hand one but still the same issue.
Cannot see the 5V or the 15V on the board with or without all the other leads attached.
Here is an example of what I have measured on P6 connector (see the image).
3V DC on pin 6 (STBby 5V and
    0,3V DC on pin 7 (F_stdby_on)

No lights on LED, no ticking sound or buzzing.

    Please help
Could it be the main A board? I was expecting to see the 5V and the 15V DC on the power board even if the A board is defective or disconnected, am I right?
    Any ideas anyone?

      Hi. Thanks for that.
Issue now solved , changed the A board, all ok.
The only thing is that I have au automatic menu activated when I start the TV- see picture. Even if I press exit, the red info (setvice mode info I guess) remains on the screen which is absolutely annoying
      Anyone have any idea?
      Thanks

Hi. Thanks for that. It does not work. It all starts when I turn on the TV . It says <Start adjust menu> and then the attached picture is displayed. If I press exit, it is gone, but stiil the red service info remains at the left side of the screen. The remote control does not also have a Menu button , otherwise I would have tried to factory reset it.
So stuck here, no idea what else to try

Press and hold the “V-“ on tv and press the «menu» button on the remote control. After that , turn off the TV with the power switch .

I don't have a Menu button on the remote I bought the TV with. I will order a new one if that is a working solution. You sure you are this will work?

              Thanks

Turning off the TV with the power switch does not help to exit the service mode ?

Hi. No. It always goes to the same menu. I have also tried to leave with no power for 60 minutes, no difference

Someone managed to exit the service mode like this: press and hold "V-" on the TV and press "OK" 3 times quickly on the remote control, and then pull the power cord out of the socket.

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                                  by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                                  by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

                                  Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Originally the tv arrived with dimmed backlights (not failed leds) but everything else worked ok. Adjusting backlight in menu did nothing but voltage changed on dimming control pins,
                                  0% p_dim at 1.65v and a_dim at 1v
                                  50% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 1.65v
                                  100% p_dim at 3.3v and a_dim at 2.88v

Changed backlight leds anyway as always like to have complete peace of mind they wont fail shortly after selling the tv. No change as expected!

Leds are 2 rows of 15 6v leds.
