I'm working on an RCA L32WD22.
The front panel LED is yellow in standby, when you press the power button the LED flashes. No codes as far as I can tell just a constant flash.
Power supply outputs:
5v is only 3.4v
12v 15v and 24v are all ok.
If I hold down the power button for abut 10 seconds, the 5v comes up to about 4.5 the led gets brighter, then turns green, and 5v goes back down to 3.4v. No other signs of life (no backlight flicker, no noise from speakers)
If I disconnect the main board from the power supply, and leave the inverter plugged in, the 5v is 4.9ish. So either the supply is weak, or something on the mainboard is bad and loading it down. Will load test the 5v line later.
Visually nothing too amiss, though someone has done some poor soldering on the power supply, particularly the caps on the 5v output.
Caps are crap Elite brand so automatically suspect, just not sure if I want to throw caps at it if it winds up being an unrepairable mainboard like the last LCD TV I worked on.
More later.
