hello I have a backlight problem on this TV, if I unplug the cn201 cable the backlight works perfectly and the voltages are 13v if I connect the cn201 cable the backlight goes off and the voltage drops to 12v, I assume it's a motherboard problem, the question is has anyone had a similar problem? I want to understand if the motherboard is repairable or it's not worth wasting time

Re: UE3204010 Backlight problem, led ok
on CNM803, check the blu-on/off pin, so meter set to dcv, black probe on chassis ground, red probe on that blu-on pin, check in standby[tv plugged in but off], take note, leaving the probes where they are, power on tv, take note, does the voltage change and what is the voltage.Last edited by nomoresonys; 02-22-2023, 10:05 AM.Comment

the image of the display can be seen perfectly and only that the backlight is missingComment

Re: Samsung UE32D4010 Backlight problem, led ok
can you clarify, you mean you can see the image perfectly for 2 seconds then it goes off? if so, see if you can still see the image with a flashlight if you look really closely.Comment

Re: Samsung UE32D4010 Backlight problem, led ok
the display works, the backlight doesn't (it flashes as soon as I turn on the TV and then turns off), if I unplug the power supply from the motherboard the backlight works correctlyComment

you can check mainboard for voltages, video there, not in English but shows what voltages to expect on mainboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE_Sx573E_YComment

there's probably more that go into greater detail on there but the search on youtube isn't that great, you would think it would be better since google owns youtube.Comment

turn off any energy saving settings, like eco mode or whatever it might be called, do a simple reset, unplug tv, hold power button for 30 seconds, plug it back in and try it, did you try adjusting the brightness? wonder if a factory reset would help.Comment

this seems strange, usually when it's the backlights no mode will work properly.Comment

tried another motherboard, it does the exact same thing, I think it's the exhausted LED lampsComment

Re: Samsung UE32D4010 Backlight problem, led ok
well, guess its time to strip it down and investigate the backlights, just treat the panel gently, luckily it's a 32 and shouldn't be too hard to manage, can take video or pictures along the way if anything looks like it would be hard to remember how to re-assemble, need to be careful not to rip or stress the panel board connections to the screen.Last edited by nomoresonys; 03-01-2023, 08:05 AM.Comment

Samsung BN44-00284A in a Samsung LE40B755 TV bought 2009.
In November 2020 the TV didn´t turn on only flashing red diod on front off TV.
I then opened up the TV and found bulged capacitors on the inverter/powerboard.
I changed all capacitors except the main two 450V 100uf capacitors.
The TV has worked pefectly since.
But this week it started to turn off the backlight. Audio on TV still works.
Sometimes it turn off the backlight after 10 seconds but sometimes it works for hours.
Any suggestions on what might... -
Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.
My issue: No backlight.
Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT
The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.
So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

- Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
- Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
- Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
- Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
- Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display

by BloopetaHave a Samsung UE558000, which I thought was just going to be a straightforward backlight replacement, as the screen was dark in the middle.
After stripping it down, I noticed it was exactly the same lights out on both sides (see pic)
I tested the strips with LED tester, and no bulbs were out, so I tested the voltage going to the strips, both at the board side, and at the strip.
On Blue, there is 30.5v on pin 3 and 9, but nothing on the others.
Same situation on White, 30.5v pin 2 and pin 8
All caps look ok, anyone any idea?... - Loading...
