black neg. lead in com, red pos. lead in V. might not want to measure anything that might be over 300 volts with that meter but you can still check a lot of stuff with it.

That's right, for checking the voltage. But for the capacitors, is it right to do like in the picture?
For the voltage check I am afraid you will have to tell me what and where to check after I will provide the photo of the boards if that's alright. I usually look to check for fuse on the pcb , but I couldn't find one.

you can check caps with the same setting of V, just not sure I would check the main filter caps on powerboard with that meter, they usually are around 400 volts when tv working.

fuse on powerboard is ok, could check on mainboard, sometimes theres a bunch of little fuses that you can check on some mainboards, they will be labeled starting with a Fxx, if they're labeled.

I know that if the caps beeps when I use the multimeter, in most occasions its a bad capacitor.
I also know that if I set the multimeter to 20k to check the ohms and the value is not going from 0 to higher, that's also a bad cap.
Correct / guide me if I am wrong please. Thanks
yes, this I call a dirty test but I have found bad caps this way, if you have some caps that size it sure shouldn't hurt to go ahead and change them out.

You can try taping pins on lvds cable going to panel to see if you get any sort of picture.

It’s a trial and error kinda of thing. So might have to try several times covering different pins

Thanks for the reply. I will have to try this, but is this the case? I am asking because, if I remove the big white lvds cable nothing changes, so I guess the CSF01 ( ribbon cables) might not be the problem.

                      Hi pal. Thanks for replying.
I have tried that using a cotton bud and gently going over every bit of lvds/ribbon cable existed, going from left to right and so on.

Turned off the tv. Lvds plugged in. Removed the left U ribbon cable, nothing changed, turned the tv on, no change.
I did the same with the right side of the first U ribbon cable, same result.
Again, I did the same with the right side U ribbon cabble, following the same steps, no results.

Sorry, blue screen 4/4 . If I press the channel button on the remote I can see the blue screen going darker and light again, as if changing the channels normally, if that makes any sense

LVDS, the white long cable coming from the PCB to the CSF01 ribbon cable, yes? Where should I look? Along the length of it?

Thanks dude ! I will definitely try this now. By the way , if I cast YouTube from phone to tv, the music starts so I think this source should have worked , right?

                                            Hi everyone,

I've got this Samsung here that would be stuck in a boot loop.
After opening up and doing the tape block method, I was able to get it to turn on and play sound from the HDMI input, but with a blue screen.

Does that mean there is another combination of pins that I need to block in order to get a picture, or is there something more serious, faulty mainboard or faulty panel?

                                            Thanks in advance

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...
