Vizio M65-C1 | Logo appears for 10 seconds then off

I have used the search, and am stumped.

My Vizio M65-C1, Vizio logo appears for about 10 seconds then goes off.Power LED blinks 15 times then the TV powers down.

I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81088
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=84241 (not clear on the Eprom actions)

    Observations

    1) [Interaction] Power turned on via TV button (or remote)
    2) [Observe] The white external facing power LED illuminates and screen turns on with the Visio logo.
    3) [Observe] Within about 10 seconds the logo goes off, the backlight is off, and CN9101 pin #15 is still at 3.22 volts (I believe this means calling for the backlight to be on).
    4) [Observe] About a minute after the logo goes away and the backlight, the white power led flashes 15 times.
    5) [Observe] A short while after the power led flashes, the TV powers itself down. Confirmed by checking voltages across key pins and observe the "power off" voltages.

those powerboard voltages look good to me, how about a picture of the whole back, as to see how everything is connected.

you don't have the same problem as either of those threads, you don't have any obvious issues with your voltages as they did.

might be a backlight/backlight circuit issue.

Most likely BGA chip Do you have a heat gun? If not use hair dryer and heat up large heatsink over each chip for 45 sec to a 1-1/2 min. Real common problem on Vizio “m” series

Photo attached of entire back to show wiring.

I do have a heat gun, am aware of this technique for reflowing solder for ICs. I am going to give this a try, though want to research the techniques for success a bit. :-)

Buy yourself a cheap thermometer, a TM-902C off ebay is under $10.
Lead free solder melts at 218C/424F, use flux.

                Fixed. Solution:

                1) Protected nearby electronics with aluminum tape (had on hand. Kapton likely better to use).

                2) Applied reballing liquid flux around edges of the BGA chip (board has two BGAs, did this process on them seperately)

                3) Used 1500 watt heat gun at roughly 6" away. Moved in circular motion.

                4) Once I reached a temp of 150*C or 302* F, I slowly moved the heat gun closer and bring the temp to 235* C or 455* F. Advice I found online indicated not to apply this amount of heat for more than 4 minutes.

                5) Then I let the BGA and card cool down to room temperature.

                6) Remove tape and protections. Reassemble (don't forget to clean the heatsinks and add new heat transfer paste). Win.

TV has been working great for the past few weeks since repaired.

Thank you for you input and advice. You have helped saved a TV from the landfill. :-)

Yes, the internet is full of experts.
There are already proven reflow profiles developed by industry.

That's reason you need thermometer and the clock is also not hard to find.

Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...

Vizio V555-G1 stuck on wallpaper; now stuck on V logo
                    by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After...

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
                    by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Vizio E701i-A3 stuck at logo, need service manual
                    by paulxxxx
The TV stuck at logo and cannot be turned off unless the cord is unplugged.
I was given two main boards and exactly the the same thing happens to both of them.
I have checked all voltages on the connector on the power board that goes into the main board and they all look OK.
There are no signs of damage on any of the 3 boards.

Would someone help me with a pointer to the manual? It's supposedly to be the same as E601i-A3.

                    Thanks!
