Re: Help diagnosing faulty Samsung TV 32' UE32D5000
try heating the caps on the powerboard for a couple minutes with a hairdryer, heat the electrolytic caps right by there connector then try the tv, DON'T wait til it cools down, try it while its still hot, if no joy, try heating the rest of the caps including the blue ones, no joy, try heating the whole board.

check voltages of cnm803, neg. probe on metal chassis, check in standby[plugged in power off] take note, leave probes in place, power on take note, report both conditions here for every pin, example power on, standby 0, powered on 3.3 volts, example of testing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH9GfkGQX1ILast edited by nomoresonys; 12-30-2022, 12:16 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Help diagnosing faulty Samsung TV 32' UE32D5000
The second choice is bad caps, check/replace those on the secondary around 100v..
third choice maybe inside led pool there are bars connected betweem each one, connection can be loose..Leave a comment:

Schematics of the power board
BTW where is " leds elevator circuit" located? Mainboard or powerboard? If is on the powerboard you can tell where to look based on the picture I shared.
Thanks in advance, it's my only tv and the budget is thigh right now.Leave a comment:

Suspected bad caps on the leds elevator circuit or bad soldering on the power diode of same circuitLeave a comment:

Re: Help diagnosing faulty Samsung TV 32' UE32D5000
Not sure if I can do that, since I can't see what's going on on the screen, the flashlight doesn't help much. I would really want to rule out if is backlight or powerboard issue, anything on the board that I can test to verify? I'm newbie, currently reading the articles troubleshooting that are posted in the forum.Leave a comment:

Turn the backlights down to 50%. If there is a problem with the LEDs it should stay on. Any mod you do to force the backlights to stay on, just results in the LEDs dying earlier and then it will stay off.Last edited by CapLeaker; 12-29-2022, 03:26 PM.Leave a comment:

Help diagnosing faulty Samsung TV 32' UE32D5000
Greetings. That's my first post here, I hope this is the right section for my question.
I have 11 years old Samsung TV that develop backlight issues week after I decided to update the firmware from 1011 to 1028. Not sure if related considering the age.
At first the backlight would blink and then would start working fine, if I turn off and on the tv the issue will re-appear. I dissemble it and found that none of the caps show any discoloring, leaks or signs for problems. Sound and screen would work fine, only the backlight will blink once every 5 sec or so. I tried to disconnect the main board and check if the screen would stay on with the power supply board as suggested in the internet tutorials, but the screen would do the same thing - blink.
After a while it got worse and the backlight barely turns on now. I checked the connector voltage and on pin 1 it's around 350-370v and it's jumping between that with every blinking cycle. The most strange thing is that the screen would blink more often when I'm probing with my multimeter, suggesting powerboard issue? From the holes I can see that the whole length of the screen lights up, so maybe the LED strips are okay?
I can't disassemble the screen, there seems to be plastic screen with grid matrix that look like leds or some kind of diffuser on the last layer that's glued on the frame.
Any hope that it's fixable in economical way? Can't find any LED backlights strips or powerboards in my country for this model of TV panel.
Open to suggestions, any jumper like JP854 that would force the screen light to stay on?Tags: None

by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by ChrissygizmoHi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊
the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.
This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when... -
Hi,
Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....-

Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?
Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ? - Loading...
