Hello, I'm scratching my head with this somewhat simple but weird problem - have Apogee ADC with turn-on problem, sometimes it powers up but mostly not, found out there is no 5V supply. Linear ps so what can be easer, no? Originally there is 29500 5V 5A regulator, with it beahaviour is odd, sometimes it works (1 out of 10), but mostly not so for test purposes replaced it with 78s05cv 2 amp regulator, all good, works with or without load, so put in place fresh lm1084it and now it doesn't output 5V even without load. Is it dodgy regulator again or something i'm overlooking? Of course I can solder back that 78s05cv and test but board is very fragile, already lifted few pads without overheating them.

by biluxHello everyone,
I want to find a replacement for uP0109 8pins, and i found this parts:
uP0109 is "2A Ultra Low Dropout Linear Regulator"
RT9199 is "Cost-Effective, 2A Peak Sink/Source Bus Termination Regulator"
FP6137C is "2A BUS TERMINATION REGULATOR"
can replace uP0109 by RT9199 or FP6137C ? -
3+1 Voltage Regulator for IMVP-7/VR12 CPUs
Compliant with IMVP-7/VR12, the ISL95831 provides a complete solution for microprocessor and graphic processor
core power supply. It provides two Voltage Regulators (VRs) with three integrated gate drivers. The first VR can be
configured as 3-, 2- or 1-phase VR while the second output is 1- phase VR, providing maximum flexibility. The two VRs share the
serial control bus to communicate with the CPU and achieve lower cost and smaller board area compared with the two chip approach.

by artvandalaiThis Concept 2 rower pm5 monitor doesn't shut down. It keeps turning on and stays on after being turned off. I read on another forum by another user that replaced the same component to check the voltage regulator.
The monitor should pull around 35mA when turned on and in shutdown it should drops to around 0.060mA. Any advice on finding the voltage regulator on this board to check if it needs to be replaced?

Hi everyone,
I'm still newbie and want to start up the shop for motherboard repairing. Need help what cable to connect from psu variable or regulator to any motherboard that we repairing? Any cable names? Since i already order the power supply regulator. From that, i can check the current and voltage go inside motherboard. -
by SatdudeHello, I have a Xbox 360E Stingray where the 3.3VSTB regulator shorted and put 5V on the rail. I think the RAM and eMMC are on this rail. After replacing the regulátor, I get proper 3.3V but the console won't even turn on. Seems the eMMC is dead, I get power to it just fine but JRunner doesn't even detect the console when I hook up my PicoFlasher. Does a dead eMMC/NAND cause the console to not even turn on? Also does this with the eMMC removed, planning to downgrade it to 16MB NAND but want to know if it's a useless effort to save this motherboard. Thanks08-28-2024, 03:55 PM
