Corsair TX-750 problem with finding component

Hello guys i have opened a dead Corsair psu and i found a burned ic with 7 pins. Because i can't find any schematics for this PSU ,I said to ask a question here. Thanks in advanced!

Re: Corsair TX-750 problem with finding component

I have a Corsair CS750M and it uses a TNY278pn. Im not sure if its the same. Maybe you can check the datasheet and see if it fits.

Usually, when those components explode, it means there is something in short...

On the side of the big capacitor there is a resistor that seems to be broken. Did you checked that?

First of all thanks for the fast reply, i appreciate that! No i did not see that but i needed to find first the ic and then watch around the board for other component defects. Hmm you mean the little one next to the rectifier capacitor?(big one) do you know the value for this too?

victorcas Do you have a schematic diagram for your PSU?

The top of the ic was likely still in the case somewhere, did you check? Check the trace side of the board, if it is a TNY278pn, pins 5~8 (source) are connected together.

Re: Corsair TX-750 problem with finding component

IIRC, I have a later TX (TX850M) with much better cap choices.

IIRC, that one doesn't look better than a later CX, cap-wise.

No, I have no idea... It seems to be a 1/2W resistor with a 1% tolerance. It may be used for current measurement. The value is impossible to read. It looks something like "green - brown - ? - ? - brown". You can check it with a multimeter to see if it is actually broken.

No. It is almost impossible to find a schematic of a modern power supply, especially the Corsair ones. I think the only way to find out the broken components is to compare it to another Corsair PSU.

That power supply seems to have a single layer PCB, so you can follow the traces and try to draw a schematic. With that, you might be able to find compatible components.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                  by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                  1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                  2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                  3. Problem: TV shuts down

Problem finding chip "AWVAAH" on hp 15-cs003 | Board: DA0G7BMB6D0
                  by david04pt
Hello guys, I'm trying to fix this laptop hp 15-cs003, which when i removed the battery it suddenly stoped turning on and even the led, which indicates that's charging isn't turning on.
I am trying to fix it, and i found a problem with this chip "AWVAAH", which I can't find on the internet or AliExpress, anything...
I found some chips that look like that, but nothing equal.
Can someone please help me find this "AWVAAH", i will show a picture of him.

Thanks a lot for the help!...

                  i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

Tesla 13.7 body sculpt repair problem, need help with finding the thyristor marking.
                  by loko
                  Hello everyone.
I have a device that is used to shape the human body muscels and burns fat. Works on the principle of electromagnetic impulses. One thyristor in side is shorted which has only this unknown mark on it ( QC230301 ). I can't find any information about it anywhere on the Internet. I tried to replace that thyristor with one of 1.6kv 800A and after 5min. of work he has burned out again, which means that he is probably weak. There is no schematic diagram on the internet, but that didn't suprise me because all the transistors and chips that are on the boards have their markings...
