    Acbel API4FS06, Anyone opened one?

Just got one of these at HyperMicro. I think someone here had linked me to it a while back.

It looks like a steal, despite the fact that I see some cheap caps inside. Looks like Pce-Tur from what I can see through the vents. I want to take the top off and have a better look tomorrow. This thing weighs a ton!

I'm hoping to buy a few more, but their website appears to be down right now for some reason.

    Anyone else here using these?

I have one sitting as a spare/bench supply right now. I had it in my system for a few months but eventually the noise from the Beta SL fan drove me crazy and I replaced it for a quiet 120mm-fan Delta.

That thing is a beast though. I hope to find a home for it where noise doesn't matter. I know for a fact the noise from it doesn't bug most of the people on this forum who have one - I'm just that picky : D.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. My CoolerMaster eXtreme power 550 (more like eXtreme noise-maker) PSU annoys me sometimes. Even though it has a 120mm fan, the heatsinks have so little surface area that it has to run at a high speed to keep it cool
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

I keep 2 in stock and modify the cable harness as necessary for whatever system I use them in. I have one in my gaming system that CPU/GPU folds when not gaming. The fan is very quiet and has never been an issue. Replacements I've installed in customer systems are running fine with no noise complaints.

Mine has OST caps inside, it works perfect! The build quality is so good that I doubt any faults will rise soon.
