      Huh? What...!

Sorry, I dozed off there. Happens with us older folk.

A capacitance checker does not indicate if the cap is good or bad for the PSU.
An ESR meter is the best way to determine that. If you're going to recap, then get them -all-. Everyone of them that has a vent mark.

I'm concerned over cap values that are right on there marked values in electrolytics. The typically have a 20% tolerance, normally in the positive direction. A 1,000uF could read as high as 1,200uF and still be in tolerance. But also be 800uF. I'd toss that one though.

        Yes,
Capacitance tends to go down with age so if it's already on the low end replace it.

ok, i've ordered the 3 electrolytics 3300uF 16V from Joe, when they will arrive I will try if there is a change...otherwise I will continue looking for bad caps...
          thanks guys!

I am a new here and apologise for waking an old thread.

Just checking if you still have this psu and if you might be in a position to check locations and spec. of capacitors located in C59 and C60

I took capacitors 2 capacitors off mine and have managed to misplace one now I am not sure if both are same spec or which goes where.
            Thanks

KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.

Dell ATX PSU won’t start, but forcing it works fine?
              by CapLeaker
Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

RTX3090 working fine but fans not spinning
              by emil_t
Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

i verified the driver of the péripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).
i don't understand the reasons of the white stripe at the bottom of the screen below the task...

              USB problems?
              by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...
