I will be doing a complete recap on this one, minus the 2.2uF and 1uF caps.
[ORIGINAL CAPS]
- 2x 470uF 200V Teapo [LXK] Input caps
- 2x 3300uF 10V Teapo [SEK] +3.3V rail
- 1x 3300uF 10V Teapo [SEK]
- 1x Jamicon 1000uF 10V [TM] +5V rail
- 1x 2200uF 16V Fuhjyyu [TMR] +12V rail
- 1x 100uF 25V Jamicon [TK] -5V rail
- 1x 100uF 25V Jamicon [TK] -12V rail
- 1x 100uF 25V Jamicon [TK] +5VSB output
- 2x 47uF 50V Teapo [SEK]
- 1x 470uF 25V Jamicon [TK] Part of +5VSB
I'm also thinking of desoldering the +12V load resistor (seen in the second pic next to the huge pink +5V load resistor) and adding a capacitor in its spot because the PSU is only silkscreened for one +12V filtering capacitor. I'll also mount the +5V load resistor to the heatsink, away from the caps. Any comments?

Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
