Same thing... Panasonic, Nichicon, Rubycon... plenty there. Just make sure you get a low ESR, high ripple current, 105C temp rating. Tons of them on Digikey.

Sidenote... that mustard / dark yellow glue can also cause problems... it's a failed recipe, it becomes conductive in time as it dries out, so it can cause shorts under the material.

If the power supply is behaving weirdly after you replace capacitors, may be worth scraping off that glue like material (or at least from around leads and terminals of components, to reduce the risk of glue behaving like a resistor between leads or terminals)

I can not find 1000uf caps of the 10mmX15mm size.

some dead capacitors in a 9v 2.6A power supply

Hello, i have a [i think] 10 year old power supply.

This power supply has been waiting to be repaired for 8 years now.

i opened it up to see what went wrong and i noticed that 2 1000uf 16V caps had vented and a 220uf 35v cap was on the verge of venting.

    Capacitors brand: suncap

I had 2 power supply's of this kind but the other one was in WAY worse condition so i scrapped it.

Now with this one removing the caps may be a bit tricky do to how everything is arranged inside and because there's this weird rubbery glue holding them down.

Finding the right caps to replace the dead ones in here will be tricky too since the caps can only have a max diameter of 10mm and a max height of 15mm [if i want to get it back into it's original case.]
If i was to guess why the cap failed in the first place i would say it was because of the capacitor plague.
Here's a photo of the caps...

Also the legs on the transistor in front of the caps look rusty.
    Thanks

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
    by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

    After all of...

Power supply Manson NTP-5561 (5661) LCD controller dead - PIC18F87K90 HEX dump required
    by Andreas_de
    Hello!

i got a damaged Manson NTP-5561 (60V, 1,6A DC output) and and the main issue is that the controler IC for the LCD display has a short. The controler IC PIC18F87K90 is mounted on the back of the back of the LCD. Vss-Vdd = 3 Ohm. The 5V and 3,3V power line was killed as well, but that is not a problem. A new LDO 3,3V and 5V 7805 is already ordered.
Replacing the PIC18F87K90 is necessary but that makes no sense without having the HEX dump of the new controler.

Does anybody have such a power supply and could do a HEX dump of the Flash and EEPROM memory?

Samsung QE 75 Q 7 FGMTZG Power Supply dead
    by kevin_allein
Hi, have this Samsung QE 75 Q 7 FGMTZG TV with no function. First analysis shows the power supply board is dead and fuse blown. Power Supply has the number BN94-11439A. I did short circuit test transistor and diodes and those do not appear to have shorts. I must admit I did not look at every single data sheet.
In the TV was some black dust residue, so probably one of the electrolytic caps blew, but they do not show short either.

Does anyone have schematics for that board ?
Any good tip, what could be the issue ?

Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro Dead. Power Supply issue...
    by KYBOSH
I have a floodlight-security camera that recently died on me.

its hardwired to 115v po115v outlet. One evening it simply died. After some troubleshooting (ensuring it had power and ensuring the electronics were actually functional by supplying 5v via usb port) i realized the power supply must be the issue. The supply was noticably warm to the touch even though it was not powering anything.

Trying to understand what i was up against i went looking for others with similar issues and anyone who might have attempted a repair. While a few ppl have had the...
