And there's still people that will buy only Dell.

Edit: The "dunce" or "dork" smiley doesn't work because it sees the "colon d" as a and disregards the rest. Maybe it's just my browser?

A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

My first Dell was a GX180, 512 megs of Ram, P3, 2 DVDs. It cost me a cool $40.00. The PSU was dead in it so I stuck another one in it and it came right up. Now you have to watch out when doing the PSU switch because Dell uses a non-standard pin-out on some of it units. Kc8 fixed up the old Dell PSU for me so I put it back in. It lasted maybe six months. The next problem was an over heating issue. All the fans were blowing but the PSU case would get hot enough to almost burn my fingers. I know Kc's work was perfect. It was the PSU its self that sucked! I put the other PSU in it and used it for a year with no issues.
My new Dell is a used 4550 Dimension, 512 megs DDR, P4, 2 DVD's. This one was free. Its been in use for four months with no issues as of yet. Wish me luck!

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

I'm still finding these. Just replaced one today in a doctors office. When I got it home, sure enough, the 5600uF 6.3v and the 1000uF 10V CapXons were bulged and leaking. I pulled all the outputs (a mix of CapXons and G-Luxons) and replaced them with a mix of Panasonic FM, UCC KZE and Nichicon HM, cause that's what I happened to have on hand.

All tested fine for capacitance and ESR except for the two that were bloated and leaking, but of course their days were numbered.

PC exhibited the classic symptoms, wouldn't turn on intermittently, and finally wouldn't turn on at all, with a flashing amber power button. She's purring like a kitty now.

BTW, it was a hell of a chore trying to squeeze 3 12.5mm Panny 3300uF 6.3v FMs into the space where the 3 G-Luxon 10mms were.

Every one of those Celetronix Dell PSUs I've seen had bad CapXons on the secondary(usually the larger ones). Surprisingly the g-luxons are usually good.
