    In-Win IP-P350AJ2-0 - Replace 200v primaries with 160v?

I've got this PSU model and I want to replace the OST primaries with these, because I can't find 200V in 18mm. These are connected in parallel, so 320V should be enough for 220v countries, right?

Also, does anyone know if 0.3A is sufficient on the -5V rail for ISA slots, specifically, if three ISA slots were populated, or should I go for something with 1 amp?

Thanks (Sorry for the blurry pictures).

    160x2= 320
rectified 230 is more than that!

maybe if you reduce it to 470uf you can find a fit.

Connecting the caps in parallel will give 1360 uf at 160 Volts. In series it will give 340 uf at 320 Volts.

It's 325.22V, correct? Yea, I can get it in 560uF, I think I'll do that.

"These are connected in parallel" Do you actually mean these two 200V rating caps are in series?
What ever you do make sure the ratings is 400V or higher. That looks like bridge drive setup.

Oops, yes, I meant to say they're connected in series.

So stj is correct, because after rectification the voltage would be 325 volts. I'm gonna go with 200V 560uF caps instead.

              Cyberpower 1500AVR UPS repair
              by quickname
I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

Like clockwork, I've had to replace the SLA batteries every 4 years. It was about that time and the UPS was acting like it needed new batteries... randomly shutting off with AC present, not being able to charge fully, and poor runtime when AC was removed. So, I replaced the batteries but noticed that it was not charging properly.

I decided to verify that the batteries were...

Is it no harm to replace with capacitor without ripple current rating?
              by chth96
When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.
              Rubycon YK DataSheet (b...

KDM 480W PSU upgrade succes! (opinions?)
              by bauto601
Back in 2020 i bought a (2nd hand) compact ATX psu to replace my current one. My PC case only fits very short ATX power supplies so i didn't really have the choice of buying a decent 80Plus unit. The current unit is a modded YoungYear unit that i made a thread about a while ago:
A "nice" YoungYear unit? - Badcaps

The "new" unit is a KDM-M6480 480W psu, the 480W number is a typical KDM bullshit claim of course, but the 24A rating on the 12V rail seemed reasonable and the "Active PFC" claim gave me a bit of hope that this was going to be decent-ish....

Opinions/Advice on Do/Should I replace ALL Electrolytic Capacitors on old equipment?
              by RetroComputingGrotto
I've just been repairing some (very) old speakers with a loud hum that occurred as soon as you powered them on regardless if any actual audio is played through them. I work in a School so it's 99% likey that the Teachers have hardly ever turned the power off on them for well over 10+ years.

As you can see the top large capacitor on the right has a bulge on the top so defincately needs replacing. As the one next to it is exactly the same capacity and voltage I planned to replace them both.

What is your advice/opinion on whether or not on old(er)...

              17IPS62 recurring failures

              Turned off completely
              1 Check D7, D8 and D9 on the power supply (17IPS62).

Note: It is preferable to replace all 3 diodes together.

              2 replace Q13 (MMD70R600P = 700V/7.3A FET), U1 (1Q001 = FAN6300AM), R59, R60, R61, R62 and R63 (all 5 from 1R2), and R77 and R79 (both from 10R) on the primary.

3 MOSFET Q4 is shorted and C113 has lost capacitance. Mount Q14 (may also be referred to as just Q4; 12N50E) at the top of the PSU, and replace C113 (47uF/160V). Also check all the components on the power supply.

TV shuts down by itself or...
