    Adding rocker switch to PSU?

    Okay.

    So,I have a Delux ATX-400W P4 PSU which uses a old Codegen 350W case.
Now,everything fitted in there, all working, but I want to add a rocker switch. I have a white rocker switch with 2 wires soldered in but I don't know if it would work.

That's why I'm asking you if I can add a rocker switch.

If it helps, here are the models of both PSUs:

    Codegen: 350W 200X
    Delux: ATX-400W P4 (AT-2005B)
    Main rig:
    Gigabyte B75M-D3H
    Core i5-3470 3.60GHz
    Gigabyte Geforce GTX650 1GB GDDR5
    16GB DDR3-1600
    Samsung SH-224AB DVD-RW
    FSP Bluestorm II 500W (recapped)
    120GB ADATA + 2x Seagate Barracuda ES.2 ST31000340NS 1TB
    Delux MG760 case

I bought a rocker switch for my silverstone st1500 psu , it didnt have a switch from factory. Still waiting for it to reach me so I can install it. Its really worth it. But still have to cut the metal to install it.

Yes it would work , can you upload a pic of it , i dont get it when you say wires are soldered to it .

A black wire is wired to pin 1 and a green wire soldered to pin 2.
Pin 3 remains unused on the switch.

Of course you can add one. All it does is let the alternating current flow through to the PCB or not. Remove one of the wires on the rocker switch, and solder the Line wire to replace it. Then, solder the other wire on the rocker switch to the Line slot on the PCB of the power supply. As long as you cut the slot in the case of the PSU to put the switch already, you're good to go!

Ahh ok, adding to what Pentium4 said if you are in a country where the live & neutral wires can be switched by inserting the power plug the opposite way.
Then please use a double pole power switch, meaning one which cuts both "live" & "neutral"

Yes the two way switch is better , it could be applied to all countries.

"A black wire is wired to pin 1 and a green wire soldered to pin 2."Are you sure it is green wire.
                  Typical wire color:
Black (Brown) = LINE (HOT, PHASE)
                  White (Blue) = Neutral
Green (Green with Yellow stripe) = Safety Ground
