    Replacement main board didn't solve the issue.

    I will merge this with the thread about the Samsung tv this supply is from. See here.

    The load thing is a possibility. I can't use the mainboard for anything it's very nearly dead. When connected it seems to leave pson floating.

    See if the PSU still ticks and if the voltage still go up and down when the PSU is connected to the TV when you try to turn it on. Some PSUs do not like to run without a load and will shut down like that. If there a label somewhere on the board that says how much current each output is rated for, you can try to add some resistors and 12V car bulbs to the outputs rather than have the PSU connected to the TV to see if it still does the same thing.

    I also see that there are lots of SamWha or SamYoung capacitors on the board. Definitely change the very small ones on the primary side first (i.e. any "startup" caps). So CM802, CP812, CM812... etc. - those tiny ones.

    Also, check all large "power" diodes and rectifiers on the secondary side.

    That seems normal. Most TV PSU (unlike computer PSUs) need to have PS_ON pulled high to tun ON and pulled low to turn OFF.

    Pulling PSON low stops the cycling and still provides 5vsb. Pulling it high (5vsb or 3.3v) brings back same behaviour.

    you can try jestine book about smps method to isolate the problem is on primary or secondary side. for note, im not salesman of any kind manufactures or site, but i think his method is good to separating problem in smps.
    btw are measuring this connector pins to ground both ways of probes? if you get same resistance reading both ways then maybe the problem is on secondary side.

    18v - 650ohm
    13v - 475ohm
    5v - 167ohm

    5VS - ohms keep increasing like it's charging a capacitor

    The other pins (PSON, EPWM and BLON) measure in the k-ohms

    Sounds like it's going into protection. See if any of the outputs are shorted.

    BN44-00424A Continuous Restart

    This is from a 55" Samsung LED tv. I have no idea of the expected behaviour but seems faulty to me. The set doesn't work with the mainboard plugged in so I unplugged it to try and isolate fault.

    When plugged in by itself (or with led) there is a faint tick that sends all voltages rising momentarily, then back to zero and over again. Cycle takes 4-5 seconds. The 5VSB line is the only line rock steady.

    What confuses me is the three pins generated by the mainboard (PSON, BLON and DIM) rise and fall in voltage as well (without mainboard attached!). So it seems like a short is causing stray voltage and tripping whatever protection the board has.

    How can I determine if the PS is faulty and which component is causing the problem ?

    The motherboard initially receives voltage for VGH, but it constantly reboots. When I remove the flex cable at the bottom, I hear normal sound, but there is no image on the screen and it is black on both sides. This time there is no voltage on VGH.

    Hi mates, did'nt find any better topic. Here is an LG55EC930V with faulty mainboard. The MOBO rev number is EAX65612206(1.1). There is two type on ali, 65612206(1.1) and 65612205(1.0) both for the same TV model, but the last one is 50% cheaper.

    What is the difference on this two mainboard? Clould be only region or must be order the exactly same 1.1 version?

    Hi guys, can someone help me?

    I have an issue with laptop dell latitude e5490 that auto restart when arrive at certain point in loading windows.
    Board model is dm70 la-f401p rev:1.0 2017-09-20.

    At first, the issue is sometime ssd sata 2.5 not detected. i already try another cable, at certain point, it ok using old cable (i mean sata cable here).
    After a few days test, is seems ok.

    Days later, another issue come, that is auto restart when certain point in loading windows. i already test another ssd, another ram, another sata ribbon, still same....

    I have an old MASTER TL-240 LED TV. Since it stopped working and it had a DVB-T receiver that is being dismissed in Italy, I've decided to replace the mainboard with a DVB-T2 one.
    The original problem was that when switching on the TV, the power LED was transitioning from red to steady blue, without showing video or audio.
    After checking some voltages on the power supply board (HKL-240101-B Rev. 1.4, HKL from now on) someone suggested me to replace the mainboard.
    Now I have some doubts about how to connect the new mainboard to the old power supply.

    I have a Vizio M43-C1 stuck in a reboot loop with no backlight.

    I've tested all the voltage rails coming out of the power supply and they are "normal" for this model (PS_ON & DIM go high when turned on, BL_ON & 3D_ON are close to zero due to backlight power flowing through the mainboard, 5VSB is 5V, and 12V is 19V, which is apparently normal for this board).

    Basically, I get similar results to Garry in this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80346

    So, I've ruled out the PSU for now.

    The reboot loop...
