Already tested the official fw, no luck. My theory is too, if got the boot, than the device saved. Because I can't reverse engeneer this broken fw and also can't build the u-boot from zero for this Broadcom 6858 cpu, still waiting for the Xgecu programmer, than take a similar router to dump correct the nand. Hope with some luck.

Checked all the avaible ports with NMAP before bricked. Every service ports, ssh, telnet, ftp was firewall filtered. The problem is now via uart clear nothing life signal. Bootloader dont stay up.
I found this row in HEX: pictures below, hex and uart log
but this is maybe only for stricted gpon connection. I ordered an xgecu t48, hope doing well with my tsop48 adapter and take another zyxel router to dump correctly the nand....Leave a comment:

Thank you CapLeaker! I already tried this method's before bricked the fw, saidly all service ports was filtered, while it was an ISP version of the router.
Now won't boot up. Thinking to make a dump from a working one official Zyxel, but the chance are big that is S/N restricted. Maybe can do it someone who are good in reverse engeneering.Last edited by Formaster; 11-12-2022, 04:49 AM.Leave a comment:

Think that flashcat mach1 also can't handle it. Any other recommended programmer?
Maybe you right Lotas, i found a custom parameters on Xgecu util.

Which ECC algorithm need? Only found on MX datasheet 8 bit. Think to buy a [B][URL="https://www.embeddedcomputers.net/products/FlashcatUSB_Mach1/"]Flashcat Mach1[/URL][/B], which designed for SLC, MLC and TLC NAND.
It can handle ECC's as Hamming, RS and BHC.
If its a recommended programmer, i take a same router to dump the nand correctly and flash it to my device. But not sure about the MAC and SerialNr. change

The nand is 4gb size, the official update bin are 66mb, the full dump is around 544mb.

What kind of interface could be here? SPI? 3 pins are 3.3v, one gnd.

Sadly the ssh/telnet ports are filtered from the isp fw. If somebody find theese rules in the bin would be cool. I don't know how to insert the original firmware into the full dump.Leave a comment:

Hello guys
I did a dump from a MX30LF4G28AD@TSOP48 nand with an RT809H. If I flash back the firmware, the auto verify show everithing ok, but if click on Verify button there is a lot of inconsistence bytes.
I did a bad block check and found it few. However I use any bad block management algorithm, after flashing the verify show the same inconsistences.
The device didn't boot up. What I did wrong? Thank's in advance!... -

Yes, tested the PCB as standalone, don't have the tool for testing the OLED Panel alone. My thoughts is PCB issue, EMMC or dead CPU/RAM etc. UART log would be helpful. All connectors used if mounted, there is no free....Leave a comment:

The TV has no life sign, even no LED feedback. On the MB all voltages stable and 5V-3.3V-1V still present. I thinking on completly dead CPU, memory or EMMC problem.
