MASTER TL240 and new mainboard LW36BKC01

    Hello,
I have an old MASTER TL-240 LED TV. Since it stopped working and it had a DVB-T receiver that is being dismissed in Italy, I've decided to replace the mainboard with a DVB-T2 one.
The original problem was that when switching on the TV, the power LED was transitioning from red to steady blue, without showing video or audio.
After checking some voltages on the power supply board (HKL-240101-B Rev. 1.4, HKL from now on) someone suggested me to replace the mainboard.
Now I have some doubts about how to connect the new mainboard to the old power supply.
First of all, the new main requires 4A and I don't know if the HKL is capable of that.
If yes, I don't understand if I can power the new mainboard with the HKL only, or if I have to connect another external power supply to the DC IN plug.
And then, I'm not sure if the pinouts of the two boards are compatible. The HKL has a plug with 7 pins, that are connected to a flat cable that is splitted in two parts: one leads to a small connector with +5V and ground. The other part goes to another connector that is mechanically compatible with the connector on the new mainboard, but the names of the pins are different: on the HKL the pins are "12V, 12V, O/F, DIM, GND, GND" and on the new mainboard are "12V, 12V, BLON, ADJ, GND, GND".
    How to proceed?

They should be the same pinouts, BLON= O/F (Backlight on/off) ADJ = DIM (Backlight dimming)
If the power supply rand the original board it should be fine with the new board as well.

If you look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s69tQM2-Yo
The guy is connecting an external power supply to the DC plug, and the connector with those "12V, 12V, BLON, ADJ, GND, GND" pins is connected to the panel directly.
Should I assume that I'm going wrong with my idea of connecting the power supply output to the mainboard's "12V, 12V, BLON, ADJ, GND, GND" connector?
Is it possible that the connector on the mainboard is an Input/Output? How to be sure?

good day hoping someone can lend a hand, im repairing smart tv 50 inch, status when turning on back light is dim but you can see the tv logo then slowly fading out to black, i check the supply to tcon, i only read 5+v, must be 12v, i removed lvds cable and check voltage to mainboard turned on its also 5v, then i remove the cable mainboard to power supply, i read 12v in power supply, thinking that the problem is in the mainboard, coz theres 12v in power supply, i also check while turning on checking volts in main board 12v dropping to 5v, im just new repairing in TV, hope someone see my post t...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
        by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
        by stylishconsultant
        Hi All,

        Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
        by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...
