    Who makes this Dell PSU?

This is a 300W NPS-300GB out of a Dell Poweredge 1400. It has bigger heatsinks than my 520W Vantec, and has UCC and Rubycon caps. Does anyone know who makes this so I can try to find a bigger version for my main PC? This thing has about 6 years of 24/7 use on it and still looks great

According to this http://www.jonnyguru.com/SMPS_UL.htm Newton Power LTD . The UL(RL) number on your PSU is E173738.
I have never heard of Newton but I've only been at this madness a short time, so what do I know?
The current good Dell PSUs are built by Lite-On.
Check the pinouts and case size as it just might be ATX standard. But then again a 6 yo Dell is probably proprietary.

You can check for a PSU by your Dell's model number at http://www.power-on.com/ link it after you find it because the result will indicate ATX standard or not.

The Newton Power PSUs I've pulled out of Gateways have been of pretty good quality and used good (usually Chemi-Con) capacitors. They seem honestly rated.

I haven't been at it long either, so a second opinion would still be good.
You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

IIRC, Newton Power is/was a subsidiary of Delta Products.

I personally thought that NPS series was a different line but still made by Delta.. I had a fan die in the NPS 100 W unit in my Linux firewall box, and it was a delta fan.. I know DPS's are certainly Delta, and the font and labeling "style" on the NPS's is just like a DPS Delta...

They certainly seem to be pretty good PSU's.. I wish Delta would sell their high quality stuff through the retail channel..

Re: Who makes this Dell PSU?

I just pulled a Newton from a Dell Dimension 4400.

It was a bit dirty on the inside, but no bulgers. LXG, etc, onboard. I replaced the fan and put it back into the machine. It's only a P4 1700/256/400 so I don't want to waste any money on it, so I put the old PSU back in place.

The original complaint was DOA, found all three 6.3/3300 KZG in the VRM in bulged state. Replaced with same in MCZ. Board came right back to life.
The board is Dell exclusive, due to micro ribbon cable that carries Power On, plus LEDs to the board.
