Thank you so much; Will try flashing it later!
How did you make this file though? Would you mind walking me through the process?
And when I reinstall the chip, what other preparation should I do to the machine? Hard drive disconnected? Is it possible for the BIOS to be rebuilt from the existing data drive?
Thank you!...

Dell Latitude 3440 - Service tag ending in 0001 - Locked!
BIOS password locked Dell Latitude 3440 (Service tag B4HNJX3)
Have extracted the BIN and want to know how to rebuild a clean BIOS
I have come across the 8F8C patcher but not sure if that would work in my case as the service tag ends in 0001.
I tried it and although the log states it patched several mentions of 8F8C in the BIN, I haven't flashed it yet in case such a patch wouldn't work.
Have also tried to extract a clean BIN file from Dell's .exe BIOS updates using 'Dell PFS Extractor', but not confidently; Ended up with a 25MB file instead of the same 32MB...Last edited by dell_sadness; Yesterday, 02:58 PM.
