    Ult-500p 500w

    Hi all,

I just bought a refurbished Ult-500p 500w. I hooked it up and everything starts fine but the fan on the PSU isn't running. My question: Is the fan on this PSU supposed to run constantly?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing yes, but I could be wrong.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

You may want to look at this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15306

You may want to check the capacitors, if the fan has problems starting the supply may have been overheated. On my Ultra one of the main caps was on the verge of venting when I found it.
