might get here if we replace these.
cheap usb hdd box.drive would not spin up sometimes and made a funny noise if it did.

What kind of drive did you have in there?
I see the PSU is rated for 2A. Did you know that 7200RPM Seagates pull anywhere between 2.6 and 2.8A?!?! Wow!

Well, JPtur caps don`t like heat for some reason
. So not very surprised that those are gone. If keept cool like in most Enermax PSU`s they will last.
Is the drive afekted from the probably high ripple current?
