Hello, Just double check the board, and MON2 was right, the CPU is shorted, after taking thermal pad off the cpu ( forgot to take it off after the heatsink), CPU is shooting up over 50 while pull down the power. Thank you all for the help. Now I know I need to clean off the CPU when checking with thermal camera, so simple and so stupid I feel about myself. -
CPU is not getting hot all, and CPU power supply is not shorted either... Have a few cases in the past that I can not find the short and I told myself it would be the board layers.....Leave a comment:

A very general question...
A very general question, when inject voltage and board draw over 4a and pull down 5v to 1v, but nothing is hot under thermal camera. Can I assume it is layer short? or it could be something very typical that I just have no idea of being a noob. -

need help identify this chip
hi, all
Please help me ID this chip, it is a 16 pin qfn on hp 14 -dqxxxx laptop with board number DAOPHAMB8F0. I can not find schmetics and the chip has no mark on it. I think it is the one creat 5v but i am not too sure about. Any help would be great appreciated. -
