    AOpen FSP300-60BT(12V)

Has one bad cap - Jamicon TK series 3300uF 10V (all the other caps - almost all Teapos - look OK) and a burnt resistor (caused by the bad cap?).
It was connected to a board that had bad caps (Epox 8K9A2+) and the previous owner claimed that it still was still stable - didn't try it myself, thought I will fix it at first.

thats a fortron and the resistor is not burned.
its shrinktube and they all look like that.
      recap and reinstall.its worth it.

I'm not sure it failed because of the "bad cap problem". The failed cap is connected between +5V (the red wires near the capacitor) and ground. The resistor must have been quite hot to make the shrink tube look like that, right?

Shrink-sleeving on a 5W or 10W power resistor? What's up with that? They already insulated the long wire lead. The shrink sleeving will hold in heat, which probably caused the shink sleeving to shrink even more until it split.

It looks like they just used a bit too much shrink tube, they only wanted it to cover the lead but it got a bit long maybe? Since it's only covering half of the resistor I mean...

note the screw in the inductor on the right.

Replaced the cap with a Sanyo MV-WX series low ESR one (it's OK, isn't it?), removed the shrink tube from the resistor and the PSU is working fine again.
