I much prefer the look of the older one. More input filtering, better design for the 12v rail and you can see the heatsinks.

looks like they are pulling an antec... rev 1= good unit, wows the reviewers. soon after rev 2 comes out, complete garbage... the old golden sample technique.

I have no complaints on my older Corsair VX450 and VX550's (made by CWT).
They've outlasted many Antec PSU's and have a 5 year warranty with Japanese capacitors.

The CX series is crazy cheap (Boxing Day $4.99 ea.) and I didn't buy. The low price is thanks to CapXon and we all know what that means...

Corsair VX series were never made by CWT. They are Seasonic builds

My VX550 has "CWT Co. Ltd. Rev. 04" on the PCB silkscreen. It has green (taped) transformers with no lettering and a green PCB, looking like the CWT/Viking parts here: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/print...nufacturer/370

I looked at the UL# E307858 file and it's for all Corsair PSU's.

OK then, ignore my last post. I was thinking of the VX450, which is a seasonic.
