Hello everybody I try to fix thi power supply, I have voltage in bridge rectifier, and also in the large capacitor , so I thought the problem was in the pfc but then I found all mosfet ok(tested out of the circuit so I just moved on in the low voltage and here I found a short of one of the diode rectifier. I'll replaced it already but it's completely dead, I mean any stanby voltage and the other voltage is not present. I don't have oscilloscope to understand if the chip work how can I test it? Thank you for the help 🙏

That’s why I am asking about the supervisor. One of these 3 opto isolators you found is coming from the supervisor IC. If the supervisor detects something wrong, it will simply turn the primary of the psu off.
Figure out what supervisor ic it’s got and measure the voltage on all the pins.

That's why I am asking about the supervisor. One of these 3 opto isolators you found is coming from the supervisor IC. If the supervisor detects something wrong, it will simply turn the primary of the psu off.
Figure out what supervisor ic it's got and measure the voltage on all the pins.
You should see it mounted on the secondary of the PSU where all the cables (red, black, yellow etc) are.Comment

Hi guys, I followed the circuit of the' bad opto isolator' one leg goes through one little capacitor and the other one go into a kind of transistor (diode junction) then there are some smd resistance diode capacitor. I tested out the circuit the transistor and capacitor them are pretty good. So it's the opto isolator broken or the ic supervisor..? Thank you all for the answerComment

Fault protection latch Pin 3 on the supervisor is high, so it detected something and shut the PSU down. So one of the opto isolators has to have on the secondary side on both legs 5V.
I do know that the supervisor will also fire if the main filter caps are bad. Guess how I found out. Lol
Now, you got to figure out why this supervisor is shutting down the primary side of the PSU. The supervisor also has a protector detector function input pin 4. If that is high, guess what? Yepper, another external shutdown reason… Happy hunting!Comment

Make yourself a jig called “dim bulb tester”. It’s basically a 100 - 150W incandescent lightbulb wired in series with the power mains of the PSU. If something shorts, the bulb will light up bright and save it from blowing up.
So if you force the power supply on by plugging it in, then jumping the green wire to the black wires, nothing happens?Comment

If you have a transistor tester or ESR meter, pull out the big electrolytic cap on the primary and measure it. Also pull all of the small caps on the primary side and measure them. Post what results you get for these. If you don't have a way to measure ESR on caps, best bet is to replace all of the small caps with high-quality Japanese low ESR ones.
For the dim bulb tester, go straight to a 300-500 Watt heating element or incandescent / halogen lamp. Often times, 100-150W is not enough for APFC circuits, IME. Also put a small load on the PSU's 12V and 5V rail (12V halogen lamps rated 10-20W should be OK... or a bunch of 10-Ohm 3W resistors on the 5V rail and one or two 100-Ohm 2W resistors on the 12V rail), just to make sure the PSU is not turning on due to not having a sufficient load (some ATX PSUs are like that.) You might have to ditch the dim bulb trick for this test, as any load on the output of the PSU would ask for an even larger heating element or light bulb in order for the APFC to work.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
