Hi i wonder if any one can help me I have latitude 5420 when power button is pressed i get an amber led at the front and nothing else all rails compared to another laptop powered off are all ok and no shorts on any of the power rails.
could this be a bios issue, thanks in advance, machine gets warm so hoping its the bios and if some one can rebuild for me please.

Re: amber light when power button is pressed. Most likely it is a bios issue. I had similar symptoms with an XPS 9310 computer. After the bios was reflashed, computer started.Comment

Can some one pls rebuild the bios file for me, the machine gets warm if the power button is pressed a few times in a row around the cpu area .

Dell latitude 5580, motherboard cdp 80 la-e151p
3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅... -
