There are three versions, X756UX, X756UXM and X756UXK, post your backup or look at your own bios to identify it. I'll try to fix it if you post it.

The webpage from Asus X Series do not list that model, could be an older one, plus it is an update, meaning it is not a full bios file. Your old one is needed for me to fully identify model, my skills are not good enough to rebuild a new bios from the update alone. Please post old one.

When I plug in the charger, the laptop starts up on its own, but there is no display. I suspect that the BIOS might be corrupted.

next time WRITE your serial number and read the rules. Try this bios, extracted from bios update and cleaned ME
