That file's ok. It's EC file, can unlock with it.

Hi !

I initialy tried to unlock password from an HP Elitebook 835 G7 by extracting and updating the lower side Bios (replacing the NvramActiveRegn areas with 0xFF Hex Area at adress range 37000-38FF0) ; it worked quite well for removing the password. However after, I am getting a error message when booting stating "Endpoint Security Controller Problem".

From various posts on this forum and youtube I understand in such cases that I have to reprogram not one but the 2 bios eeprom chips. However I could find no clear method for fixing the upper bios chip. Furthermore, people seem to say I sould have an uppder 16Mb chip and lower 32Mb chip, but on my laptop I have two 32 Mb chips with different contents, uploaded here.

(please note I also tried the RCUnlocker software, but had no luck trying to run it, experiencing the infamous "application was unable to start correcly" including after tryind to whatever software dependency the woftware needed...).

Can someone help me with fixing my bios or point me to a valid method on how to fix the upper chip as well ?

Thank you very much ! That worked for removing the bios password ; however now the bios tells me it is blank and I need to fill some parameters (Feature byte, BIOS ID Type, etc). I see you enclosed it in the RAR file. How can I update the Bios with those informations ?

Use this HP BCU TOOL and fill the details from Sticker like Serial Number, Product Number, CT Number, build_id, Feature Byte Etc
if you have any issue than post request here some will get it for you from backup bios
