      Lenovo L340-15IRH bricked bios?

      Hi,

I have a Lenovo which is my daily laptop. Today I changed in BIOS Secure Boot from DISABLED to ENABLED. I saved settings. Laptop turned off for 5 seconds and started again...but black screen. No backlight for lcd. Fans are working, Backlight of keyboard is working only 5 seconds and after that is turned off.
      I tried:
      -remove ram, try another one
      -remove ssd
      -remove wifi card
      -remove CMOS
      -remove battery
      -power drain from lenovo website
-start with fn+r or fn+b (nothing)

I think ...somehow...I bricked the bios.
      L340-15IRH Gaming Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81LK
      Serial Number:PF1SECN0
      Machine Type Model:81LK009ERM

      I want to ask here:
      1. Is there a method to force bios to recover or to reset it (default settings)?
      2. Look on MB I found some data: FG541/FG741 NM-C362 Rev 1.0 2019-03-19. Should I try to write another bios? Chip identified by me is: AH1917 25B127DSIG U96223
My primary tool is VVDIProg but is for cars and I have a easy programmer called: CH341 programmer.
What can I do to save my laptop?
      Thank you for all support.
Apologies if I did something wrong..

            Hi @hoaca388,
I used CH341a programmer to read bios. Because I cannot find the software the next chip: 25B127DSIG I read twice with two different similar options: GD25Q127C and GD25Q128x.
I only read, no erase and no upload another bios.
Here are the file / files (used tinyhex and compare both file - no difference).
            Thank you!

Tested the file provided => no power.
Tested the back-up => no power.

I forced write without verify process. If I select verify, it return me an error:

                    Software used NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.8
I read 4 time: one by one, I erased chip, loaded your version of bios and write to chip=> no error this time.
And the magic happens. It works!
Thank you very much for your help, for your support and for your knowledge.
                    You saved my daily laptop!

                                    Hello,
As the unlucky thread starter brief/quick summary:
                                    1) Tried to change Intel virtualization technology settings from BIOS, after changing setting device bricked (did not remove case or changed any hardware on device)
                                    2) Took to a shop and they replaced Bios rom and flashed a new/empty rom with no mtm and serial number and they did not provide old bios. I was just happy for a working device/laptop.
                                    3) But after this, TPM 2.0 module, Wired LAN device, Sata device and Audio Chip (no audio) is no longer recognized from OSes (windows/linux).

                                    what I ask for:
Are hardware problems occur because these informations are absent in BIOS?
If it is so would you enter my info to the provided BIOS dump which I created from this device:

                                    Model name: 81LK
                                    SN: PF2A8A20
                                    MTM: 81LK01KUTX
I may provide Label picture and my original laptop box with labels to confirm these SN and MTM.

Or If I use BIOS dumps from this thread (with correct laptop and BIOS version of course) to flash my BIOS will it work?

If hardware problems are because of a hardware problem, how may I check for hardware problems in my motherboard

                                    Thank you

Does any of you know is it posible to turn the NVIDIA GPU off via the bios? Mine doesn't show up in the device manager, and there is no voltage to GPU...Intel works, but it takes 20 seconds to boot up...
