If I understood RethoricalCheese hint correctly, things should work out this way.

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
Nope, that's not the right keyword. BUT who knows, it might work.
5cg04218cq is another one that I am quite sure should work. And try 5cg0421f1r from Vesko.
Back up 32MB from both machines, just in case.Attached FilesComment

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
In other words (my favorite quote from the topic):
All Elitebooks, Probooks and zbooks which are up to ninth generation which should be up to year 2018, like 840 G5, are supported. Newer models are not supported (yet atleast).
No Pavilions or other trash is supported
That includes no support for HP 15, 255 etc as far as I know.

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
Hello,
Thank you for your time. That did work to remove the password but I did get a message regarding the HP Sure Start. It says "hp sure start detected an unauthorized change", which doesn't effect the usage of the laptop but can get annoying. Thankfully, I was able to disable that message in the bios so I did that to work around the error.
Thanks again.Comment

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS
Hello everyone,
I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by CityminHi all,
My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

by m1ch43lzmHi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...-
