Thanks for the help., @rex98 & @hoaca388., Now I simply am puzzled. @rex98 you are saying not to touch the EC Rom where as @hoaca388 gave me a updated copy of EC Rom. Kindly inform me what to program back again. The Main SPI ROM or the EC Rom??? Get me out of this confusion. Thanks dear.

There are 2 ways to unlock this model: via bios or via EC.

Thanks for the help @hoaca388., Your EC update worked 100% fine, no problems at all. I did not try @rex98 as I had to reprogram the main BIOS again & would be a longer process. Anyway GREAT help both of you guys.

Thank you, i found the chip with the AS Programmer. But it seems like i cant read the chip via the clipper or do i make something wrong?

You used the wrong tool, with WSON chip you have to use this.

try this one (main bios) and if it works write DMI with BCU. You'll find values on a label of bottom case or in your bios starting with hex adress: 107A730

Hello everyone, I have a problem with a hp 455 g8 computer which has a display problem. I have tried to program the SPI_ROM but the chip does not respond (certainly spoiled) and I have programmed the Ec_ROM, the computer no longer turns on, I have replaced the two SPI and EC chips with other chips from another identical motherboard and the fan runs strongly.
The information on the computer is :

Can you help me find a file that will make the motherboard work?

You can close MPM with HP BCU (Bios Config Utility) after entering DMI info , serial number, feature-byte etc. Alternatively just wait for the counter to decrement after each reboot and it will lock itself.
