Dear friends, i'm novice to forum, i can not exactly ask a question) ... I have an HP ProBook 455 G8 bricked after a failed BIOS flashing (under BIOS shell from wired connection). Do i understand correctly that DMI utility is no longer used in new models, and filling missing data in DMI is done in BIOS shell itself in MPM section? Is everything same as here? _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuENOtU_B_w&t=264s
I still have a laptop warranty and i would like to know whether it is worth doing it myself (i have some experience).. ), or give it to service. Thanks for the answer.Comment

Hey, i have a 455 G8 with remote management, no bios passwords, only can't get passed internet verification. I don't know what to clear/modify in HEX. Please help me with this one, too.Comment

finally i need help from a BIOS pro :-)
i have a 455 G8 and there is a BIOS Password... i tested allready the RCUnlocker but there comes a problem... " Wrong Chip Try reading and unlocking 16mb Chip" but this Models dont have a 16mb chip... only 2 32mb chips....

Iām working on a Lenovo IdeaPad XiaoXin Chao7000-15ARR (Ryzen platform) and I need some help with BIOS reconstruction.
Unfortunately I only have the bare motherboard (no original chassis, no sticker, no working system).
The laptop came with black screen.
What I have:
- Original SPI dump read from the board (W25Q64DW 1.8V, 8MB)
- Official Lenovo BIOS update (.CAP file)
- Photos of the motherboard (front and back)
- Board powers on, but with original dump it stays black screen

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.
My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have read the BIOS chip twice using a CH341A and a WSON8 probe. Both reads match exactly, so I believe the dump is reliable.

I'm looking for a clean 16MB BIOS dump for the following laptop:
Model: HP Pavilion 17-cp2046nf Motherboard Board ID: 8A81 Motherboard codename: Eunice 22C2 CPU: AMD Ryzen (17-cp2 series ā Barcelo-R / Rembrandt-R) BIOS chip: 16MB (SPI Flash ā Winbond / GigaDevice, to be confirmed)
Symptom / reason for request: Laptop won't POST after failed BIOS update / black screen.
I already tried HP's official BIOS recovery (USB key method) without success.
I have a CH341A programmer and clip, so I can flash directly on the chip. I just need a virgin/clean...
