      Thanks Marcus,

I will really want to learn how you did that, because I still have 11 laptops to fix (same model), some with 2 bios chips some with one.
Is there a tutorial for beginners somewhere to follow?

Last night I've been able to fix other 2 laptops testing some of the bin files already shared on this thread, and found 2 files compatible (Latitude E5400_256_CLEAN.rar & BACKUP_DELL LATITUDE 5400 EDC41 LA-G891P REV 1.0(A00) 2019-03-28.rar)

Great, in the case of laptops with 2 BIOS chip I suppose I will have to patch both, I suppose

I've try link above but doesn't want to generate the patch file for the 16M chip, it does for the 8M chip instead. Below is the error:

            Rex98 **Dell-8FC8-Patcher**
            @Tecshack Cebu
Pag huwat ky ga patch pa!...in file W25Q128JV@SOIC8_61F0533_PSW_V2.BIN
            wa nakit-an ang intel signature
Pinduta bisan unsang key para ma exit...

Please help me understand what I have to do next.

In the meantime if someone can patch both file for me

              Hello,
Now you can see how well the Rex98 software works.
The 16MB Bios chip doesn't need to be patched because nothing is found in it.
If you have 2 chips, as in your case, you have to consider which of the two should be processed.
In your case only the 8MB chip needs to be written back.

I've read the 8MB chip on the the 2nd Laptop , but Rex patcher doesnt recognize. I've read the 16MB as well, went through the patcher and the same.
Any idea what is wrong here?

hi, is me again, last laptop is giving me headache. I am not able to READ or FLASH the 8MB chip, as the other ones. Is giving an error :
                      Pin detected passed
                      Check ID Error!
Checked ID is : 0x FF FF FF
Wish to continue programming, please cancel[Check Device ID] option!

I did disable "Check ID" and reading went through, but writing Didn't.

Is there any solution for this issue?

Chip is the same as for the other ones so is not possible to pick a wrong chip from the list

                      Thanks in advance
