I have HP 830 G6 with bios locked S/N: 5CG9381HLW. I have tried HPunlocker, after writing the file that i got from Hpunlocker the laptop has no display. The caps lock light stays on solid white and flashes once and goes solid again. I have attached the locked bios dump file. Could anyone help please.

Thanks for your quick response. First it was not showing any display after writing this fie. It kept restarting itself with no display making me think that the file has not worked. but after about 4/5 restarts, it eventually showed the display and now its working fine.

Although the laptop has turned on after writing your file but the bios password is still there.

No there is just one with 32mb. For sure there isn't any on top side. Could the other be the other side of the board? Thanks

You didn`t make a good backup it is only 139.5 KB compressed,it should be around the same size as the others posted in this thread, over 10MB

Is there another bios chip that is 16mb?

When I extract the BIN file from bios, shows 32MB but after compressing it becomes 139kb compressed. Could you please suggest any solution to this please. I have tried few times with different software.

That depends on a few things. What is the the programmer model and software version.
Are you:
Desoldering the chip and using an adapter board
Trying to read a WSON8 chip with a SOP8 clip
Trying to read a WSON8 chip with a WSON pogo test probe

There is a newer NeoProgrammer version but i doubt thats the problem, its the pogo probes,they`re unreliable.

After entering BIOS, go to security tab and reset security settings to default!
Security errors are expected once or twice on first boots.

Try and reply with results.
