Need unlock HP elitebook 830 G6

Hello,

I have a problem unlocking the bios of an Elitebook 830 G6, i used the HPUNLOCKER tool, but the bin remains locked after writing it back.

Can anyone clear it for me? or if there is new tips for the 8th gen, it would be appreciated

Just tested. Unlock tool worked fine on it.

Send the unlocked file, I will check if it is the same.

PS : I forgot to remove the CMOS battery during the process, could it be the reason why it is still locked?

I almost never remove the cmos battery so no, this is not the issue.

So try this repaired file and report if it remove the password.

Before write new bios, post a screenshot with required password asked by notebook.

The laptop still locked, but this time I got a bios update message, after that it finished, a message displayed "The bios data was recovered....from the controller something....! i do not really remember what was written exactly, if this is needed, i will program the bios again.

So if still ask for a password, you need to program a SIO chip with attached file. The password was stored on mec chip.

Backup you mec first and write new file.

you should have another bios chip on the motherboard, look for it and post the content ....

yes, i found chip bios 25LP128 ,can pw be saved there

I have a HP 830 G6 with admin password forgotten. I downloaded the official bios from HP support site and edited with the original ME FW. It actually worked but the BIOS prompted "data inconsistency, recovering identity from EC" something like that and the password came back.
Any solutions?

HP Unlocker doesn't work, the password still exists
