hi,

i'm having issues with xps 7390 2-in-1-
board: La-g172p
service tag: 7phfq13

computer would not boot, just dim amber light whenever power button was pressed. I downloaded a bios online and inserted the bios region of original bios with service tag info to the new donor bios with new ec and me firmware.

Now it will post but will not read from usb, or internal nvme drive. Sd boot still works.

Must i use the original ec section? I tried with just using the donor me, but would not boot.

I've attached my original non-functional backup, my half-functioning backup with new ec and me, and the donor bios.

I also tried just the donor bios with the same symptoms as my modified bios.

Where is the BIOS chip located on this motherboard Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1? From what I see visually there are two Winbond 25Q64JVIQ chips in this motherboard. Which one is the BIOS chip.

- i tried with other bios, laptop start, buth random detect ssd, and no usb c device detected (verry slow start)

laptop started (i have to disable C-state power management from bios.)
now the usb c ports are working.

-touchpad still not working, and no led working (touch pad have error in diagnostic program from dell)

-bios cant update intel tbt retimer 2
