Thank you for your answer and help. The bios was damaged during the automatic update of Windows 11. After restarting the laptop, there was only a black screen. Currently, I manually entered the service tag in the BIOS, but it didn't help much. The laptop starts loading Windows after about 3 minutes. I don't know why it deleted DMI. Thank you for your help.

Maybe this will help you solve the slow POST problem. You also need to press ALT + F to exit manufacturing mode, then fill in the service TAG.Attached FilesComment

YOU put it in manufacturing mode when you replaced Bios_Region, so VSS2 store is EMPTY and POST doesn't detect ServiceTag. DMI and win key are there, you have to know where to look, i'll give you a hint ...
YOU created the questions, so you better answer if you wanna help.Last edited by volinakis; 06-25-2024, 06:07 AM.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's always nice to learn something new, but I don't think I'll be able to help anyone in the future.
If I can't do it properly, I don't want to harm anyone else through my work.Comment

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS
Hello everyone,
I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by SathsulSo, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...-

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by Clawed07I've been trying to reset the bios password on this god-forsaken laptop, and due to it being a 8FC8, i've had little to no success with online password generators like https://bios-pw.org , not to mention how I don't want to burn a hole in my wallet by paying like 80 bucks on a weird sketchy website. Im using a local bios tool, except it requires a BIOS file, and I'm not entirely sure how to retrieve it.
Forgot to mention the motherboard is a Dell Inc. 004WC7, VER. A01-
