    Hi There,
I'm reading in this forum since a long time - it's an impressive source for solutions
Today I decided to test the autopatcher. What should I say? Works like a charm.
    Thank you Knucklegrumble!
Tested with a Thinkpad L560 and CH341 programmer (delivered as full 3.3V version - no need to modify) running Neoprogrammer V2.20. The programm reportet the device as CH341 black.
Tried to read eeprom in circuit with WSON clip and testclip. With 8 cycles I have 4 with identical CRC32. After also removing the BIOS battery (main battery was already off), CRC32 was identical 3 times. First flash of autopatched file went wrong. Decided to desolder chip. The problem seems to be the contact with the testclips (tried two). The file from the 3 times cycles with identical CRC32 contained the correct bios bin - lucky me
Flashed patched file external, soldered and followed instructions.
Desoldering, flashing original bin and the password was gone

    Kind Regards & Thank you!!

Hello, I was scammed recenlty and bought a used X1 Tablet Gen 3. I can boot into Windows OS, but there's greyed out password option in BIOS Setup menu.
When I boot into bios, I see that the password is set, but I can proceed by just pressing enter. Does it mean that I'm in some user-mode, without supervisor options?
Can I use this patcher to remove the supervisor password by first dumping it and then modifying it? Do I need a hardware flasher, or can I do it from windows?
                    Thank you all!

Is it the chip below? That is the one I read the bin file from.

Hi. I just patch my BIOS following all the steps, everything looks normal, I have access to all options in the BIOS, but here the problems started. I cannot boot from USB drive to install Windows, whatever I do it just go straight to the previous installed Windows. I have tried everything, like secure boot on/off, thunderbolt on/off, UEFI/Legacy, TMP on/off, "deleted" all keys where i saw options to do this in the BIOS. of course re-setted multiple times and many other options and configurations and no, doesn't boot from the usb drive. I use it almost every day so i know it works. Now I am downloading windows to put it on another drive to test it, but seems very strange to me this. Also one thing i notice in the system information it says : UEFI secure boot off, but in the security settings i have set it to enable, so something is wrong with the BIOS. Can you quick check my BIOS please for some issues? I have attached the original and the patched one with AutoPather. I think something is not okay with the BIOS.

The laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen

                        Thanks!

Hi everyone, I managed to create another USB flash drive with Windows 11 Pro, which loaded without issues and installed Windows 11 Pro.
I successfully updated the BIOS and everything runs smoothly.
Thanks for the solutions, help, and time.

Please help. I have been trying to remove a supervisor password for the past day now. I have tried many things like different windows drivers, asprogrammer, neoprogrammer and even tried Phoenix Tools (didnt understand how to use it though). I originally patched my bios dump using lenovo_autopatcher with no luck. I just get a black screen and cant do anything. I even tried flashing random bios dumps from here. I currently have reverted to my original BIOS, thank God that worked because I thought my laptop was bricked.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could assist me. I tried everything I can.

I forgot to mention: I tried different BIOS versions, including "universal" ones with the Supervisor Password already removed for the T490s, but the laptop does not respond to the power button with them. Also, with the patched BIOS, the laptop emits short beeping sounds after some time. This version of the program is apparently no longer compatible with the T490s BIOS.

Therefore, I still require assistance with the BIOS modification. Thank you.
I removed the password by reflashing the microcontroller using Vertyanov’s programmer, and I also had to restore the laptop’s serial numbers. I managed to get everything working.

                                        Hi everyone,
E590 20NB-0012GE here. I tried autopatcher, but the patched file isn't working.
The original bin seems to be ok except for the pw-protection. Could anybody provide a clean file or other help please? Thank you in advance

                                            Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                            🧩 Initial Issue
                                            • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                            • External display (HDMI) shows

                                            Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

                                            Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

                                            Dear Forum Readers!

I'm looking for a BIOS modder or anyone with experience who would give me suggestions about my razer blade's BIOS settings.
I can view and edit the content of the BIOS .bin file with AMIBCP BIOS editor.
The BIOS files I'm working with are from badcaps.net and those are CLEAN BIOS files (anyone can find it with the search string: RZ09-0421).
