  • Before dumping the third (last) of my three HP ProDesk 400 G6 minis, I want to clear the Intel ME firmware myself. I've seen methods like analyzing the .bin dump with ME Analyzer, then clearing it via Flash Programming Tool (FIT) and a hex editor. Other tools: Intel ME/TXE Injector, Flash Image Tool, or ME Cleaner etc. To save time experimenting, would you recommend me the best tool(s) and quick steps, please?

    I know you're very active here(don't want to waste your time);
I'll learn more myself but want to avoid the wrong paths.

Thanks! Will share a new dump soon...

  • Hey,

While waiting yesterday I decided to try and I flashed the chip with the BIOS you gave me earlier(the first time) and it worked. This time I made sure to extract all the right data myself, so I know how to repeat the process without asking too much.

    Quick questions:
    1. I don’t need to upload another BIOS for unlocking, the one you gave the first time should work on any machine with the same params, right?
    2. If the PC is the same but the chip is different (e.g., MX25L256 instead of GD25Q256), can I still use the same BIOS?

    Really appreciate your help,...

  • Remove password, please:

    Code:
    Serial_8CC1270DH6
    SKU_47L40EA#ABZ
    Board ID(CT Number ?)_PJLJB0B8JFDEML
    BID_20WWQ6DT601#SABZ#DABZ
    Name_HP ProDesk 400 G6 Desktop Mini PC
    Future bytes_3E3X476J6S6b7B7J7M7Q7T7WaBapaqaubhcAdUdpdqfAfPk8mEnV.Dh
I hope I extracted everything correctly and the CT number is Board ID number?...

  • I actually entered almost everything into the bios from the info @hoaca388 has provided, but the "system board CT number" not sure which one is it(i have the stickers still) and then the "smbios uuid" cannot find it anywhere? Maybe should be auto generated when i enter everything?
If not maybe it's still into the dump file, which i am not sure what number i am looking for. And to stop the message I changed the MPM from unlocked to locked but still get it? I have two more options for MPM maybe have to change them as well?
I used the HP tool for the BIOS get and set...

  • I have turned the Pc on and just installed Windows.
In the Bios some info is missing:
    Code:
HP ProDesk 400 G6 Desktop Mini PC
    Serial_8CC1270DKS
    Sku_47L40EA#ABZ
    Build Id_20WWQ6DT601#SABZ#DABZ
    Fearture byte_3E3X476J6S6b7B7J7M7Q7T7WaBapaqaubhcAdUdpdqfAfPk8mEnV.Dh
also there is a red text while booting:
    Code:
"SYSTEM IS BOOTING IN MANUFACTURING PROGRAM MODE 10"
I quickly read that with the HP tool I can turn the message off, but can I add the other info with this tool?...

  • Thank you so much for your time. I will test the PC now.
What I have done so far:
    1. Erased the BIOS from the chip.
    2. Opened your unlocked one.
    3. Wrote it back with all options in NeoProgrammer 2.2 activated. It says successful.

What is the next step? Should I put the battery back, then power it on, and go to the BIOS for a test, I assume?

A few more questions came up, if you don't mind, of course:
    1. Because I cannot use RCUnlocker(only 16MB), as the chip and its size is 32MB, how did you remove the password? I watched a lot of videos and pages on the net about using a

  • I'm not sure what I need. There is a password on the BIOS, and I want it removed.
I don't mind whether it involves just removing the password or fully reflashing with a new BIOS. Let's try removing the password first.
    What do you suggest?
I'm unsure if I can reflash it, so let's start with removing the password. It doesn't really matter to me right now. ...

  • Yes, please.
I’ve attached the dump in the previous post. I usually don’t have a proper BIOS dump, but I hope after a million tries today, I’ve finally got it right.
It looks similar to the one you showed me before, so hopefully, it’s not corrupted. The attached file is "2.rar" in the previous post where the screenshot is as well....
