    try
Tried to change hash from offset 00170000h length 430000,
Still getting the hash not matching error even after replacing hash according to guide
Attached are the old and new hash, the binary file after replacing with new hash, and UEFITools screenshot
My binary seems to be different to yours. Maybe upload your version and I'll try with that?

EDIT: didn't see the uploaded bios, my bad

I see. SOIC8 clip broke today, ordered one and it's coming in a few days. Will reply here if I'm not successful at unlocking the supervisor password with the bios

Hi! I'm not very tech savvy but I have a few questions, so I apologize and would greatly appreciate it if anyone would help me/give me pointers.

I recently obtained a 20Y0S26L00 (ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6) and can no longer contact the original owner.
It has an 11th Gen Intel so I am kind of worried this method will not work.
When I boot, it complains about the date and time in the BIOS and I replaced the CMOS battery.

However, it still complains and I tried to set the date and time in the BIOS and it seems there is some supervisor password. I can still access the BIOS without a password when prompted (enter with a blank password) but all of the options are greyed out.
The machine can still boot to disk but is there any way for me to recover/reset/disable the supervisor password so I can set the date and time?

Any and all help is appreciated!

                  Hello,

Thank you for your highly appreciated work.

I'm currently facing some issues with my T470S:

                  - I sat a Supervisor Password using special chars which was causing issues
                  - Access to BIOS was locked but I was still able to use my PC

2 weeks ago, I got an update of BIOS/TPM from Windows Update.

Computer restarted and after Lenovo logo a loading bar appeared and at the end something went wrong + an error popped.

Computer restarted one more time and I got the prompt for typing Bitlocker password.

I managed to boot into Windows and saw that TPM wasn't working anymore. PC in sleep mode would sometime beep with the code 0285.

Since I was locked from accessing the bios I used your patch to unlock supervisor password and successfully managed to go to BIOS but Security Chip option is missing.
I tried using the TPM Updater from Lenovo and reported version is 0.0.

Do you have any idea to fix that ? Thank you !

Hello, I am hoping you can help me. I have an E590 and I am trying to remove the bios password... I have read the bios and I used the autopatcher but the system does not boot, the caps lock and power LED illuminate, it plays a tune but nothing else. I restored the original file and it boots again. I've tried quite a few times with no success. Could somebody take a look for me? Thank you.

                      Hello,
I have a Lenovo T540p supervisor password enabled bios.
I extracted and used the script but after re-flashing the laptop has no image displayed (I waited more than 5 minutes).

Output of the script seems fine:
                      Code:
Using UEFIReplace to inject 2 DXE drivers...

                      Done.

Here is the original bios, could someone give me pointers?

Hope someone can help - I followed your guide and created a patched Bios for my T480 20L5-CTO1WW S/N PF-1LT39A but when i tried to turn back on i got no LENOVO logo and only the beep code 01288 for a bad display so could not run the normal commands to complete the supervisor password deletion - checked the programming was done properly and verified also tried resoldering the chip but no change - i then returned progam on the bios to original .bin and it worked fine so i'm guessing the patch is not created correctly attached is my original and patched Bios .Bin file if someone can fix it please?

The 25Q80DVSI0 is not the bios chip.

The Autopatcher at post 1 should work on your model. The bios chip on your motherboard must be backed up using an SPI programmer, the bios from lenovo support is no good.

I bought the laptop used for $20, I bought it as a home project (I'm a computer mechanic and maintainer, but we don't deal with bios problems = module installation, if the motherboard is faulty, then replacement).
Nobody in Hungary deals with lenovo KBC chip programming (chip replacement $70), Lenovo's opinion is to replace the motherboard
which is $150 from China. The SVOD programmer is $4,000, which is quite expensive for an 8-year-old machine.
That's why I'll either throw it all away, or buy a used donor laptop that doesn't have a password.

I thought that "LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal" was for this. It works for others on YouTube videos, so I don't really understand. The security chip was only used by Windows, it is not required on Linux, so if it is disabled, it should work. Maybe I'm thinking wrong?

SVOD 4 is not $4000 .. more like $250 from the real sellers.
