hopefully its not too late to ask for help lol,
thinkpad t480 specs:
Type 20L6-S5NY00
CPU Intel i7-8650U
bios version: 1.52
supervisor password-locked
i used both autopatchers posted by op, even tried pushing the tamper button and still got seven beeps (Virtual Mode Exception Error) and the device stayed on both times.
Flashing back to og bios fixes that. i've done hours of digging on this thread and have yet to find a solution, is it true that with my model a ch341a programmer won't work no matter what?Attached Files

Good morning, very much a similar story to the previous poster, I've followed the steps meticulously, but I cannot get my T480 to POST after writing the patched BIOS. (Both phases of the python script appear to complete successfully.) I would get a beep code, however, though my phone app already lost it under recents. Google revealed this to be corrupt BIOS related. Fortunately, the machine works after restoring the initial backup. (There is an admin password) I hate to ask, but have gotten as deep into the troubleshooting rabbit hole as I think I can manage, but if this could be checked and fixed, I would be most thankful.

I managed to patched the bios, but I accidentally deleted the original bin file.
Is there a way to recover or do a vice versa to undo the patched, to be able to have the original bios.
btw, shift delete was used, the orig bin file is not in the recycle bin.
thank you.
attached the patched bin file.

First off, I would like to say THANK YOU for this software.
I was able to successfully unlock my bios locked Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 6 (20KH) laptop.
For those of you with the same model, here are a couple of notes.
I started off using AsProgrammer 2.1.0 and was able to successfully read and backup the bios on the chip.
However, using this software I was unable to write the patched bios back on the chip.
After searching through this forum I came across a post recommending NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.8 and using that software I was able to write the patched bios to the chip.
I then used NeoPrgrammer to rewrite my original bios back on the chip after following the Autopatcher instructions.
So if you were having the same issue as I was, switching to NeoProgrammer software solved the problem.

First of all thanks for this Script. I managed to pass my Bios password succesfully on a Lenovo T480s. The Problem i have now is that i have an extreme Bios time for about 60 seconds and more before i see the Lenovo splash screen.
After i enter the Bios i saw that there ist no version written in the line Intel ME Version. Does anyone has the same Problem and how to fix it ? Or is it neccesary to have the version written here ? Maybe it has something to do with the extended Bios Time.
thanks in advance

Thanks for the work. The problem is this - I reset the password with the auto patcher - x380 yoga. It turns on in the BIOS, but nvme is not displayed. Live USB loads. After turning it off, it does not turn on for the second time. You need to disconnect all power supplies and CMOS/ Thanks in advance. Peace to all.

Hey Y'all
Unfortunately I have not been able to get my patched BIOS to work on my X280.
The autopatch script seems to be working from the output with no errors (see attached image).
During boot there is no display, and I get beep code 0285 (TCG-compliant functionality related error / Might be TPM initialization failure).
I can re-flash my BIOS chip with the original unpatched BIOS and boot normally.
Would anyone be able to help or explain why it might not be working in my case?
Thanks.
