Good day all,

Im looking for Lenovo T440P bios dump, currently the laptop is locked with bios password. Im attaching my working locked bios dump here.

Lenovo Thinkpad T440P + Unlock

This bios is currently supervisor locked.

I searched forums before posting and did not find a download. I found one post on the T440p and one for the t440s.

I would also like to white list so I can upgrade wifi card and lcd panel.

Ok I ended up paying someone to get it unlocked. However, I would like to learn how to implant the dxe driver and what will the above posted file accomplish. Also for some reason he told me not to white list or open the advanced menu in the bios as its risky and could cause damage. Is this true what is the risk in getting things whitelisted and opening the advanced menu?

Thinkpad t440p - Restoring locked bios

Hello guys, I hope someone can help me to restore the locked bios on my Lenovo t440p.

I wanted to remove the supervisor password and since I have done this with another laptop in the past I have not researched enough for t440p and I flashed a new bios using raspberry pi and soic-8 clip. I missed the part with the password for this laptop being stored in MEC1633.

What I have done for both bios chips (w25q32 and w25q64):
1. read the bios chip couple of times to make sure the connection is stable
2. write new bios on the chip

The new bios didn't work. It asks me for a password and I can't even enter the bios, which was possible before, altough many options wasn't available.

After that I flashed the old dump files on the chips hoping to restore the initial state, where the bios was locked, but the laptop was working. Now the laptop won't boot at all.

Does anyone know, why the old bios files don't work anymore and can help restore the old bios?

Password store in MEC1633L not bios you need to programmer Mec... then remove

thank you for your answer. I don't want to remove the password anymore. Programming the mec1633 would not be as easy as flashing new bios, so it is not worthy for me. I want to flash the backup files of the locked bios, but when I do this, the laptop doesn't boot. Any clue, why it doesn't boot?

No, i used soic-8 clip to read and write, it is the original chip, which is soldered on the board.

Try this

Remove all battery and CMOS battery

press F1 to enter setup: password 1234
wait 20sec or more
Press anykey to hardware Id
Press 2x space
turn off

and backup bios original .
Enjoy

if 2x 5 beep, it's normal, I didn't do the checksum but should light up anyway.

Works on my T440
