Re: Dell Xps 13 9370 bios

    Hi all,

I tried hoaca388's BIOS first, and it worked marvelously!!! Just so other people know, first it dropped a blink error code for low CMOS battery (which is already a very good sign, as with the corrupted BIOS there were no error codes at all). After changing the CMOS battery, it dropped a blink error code for wrong memory installed, which was weird, as it comes with soldered-on memory. After a power down-power up sequence it POST'ed and works like a charm though, so I guess it was only adjusting memory timings.

I thank you very much both for the fixed BIOSes, you are both very great!

    Cheers,

I see two strings in your dump looks like service tag (SVCTGG1-DGKXNQ2), but non of them give me result in dell site.
Anyway try this and let me know.

Thanks everyone, I have fixed my bios and laptop is working again, without your bios samples was hardly possible to do this, i figure it out ec region is for an arm based processor and you can't fix it by FIT even if you extract ec program from executable bios updates, i easily fixed it with IDA pro, I share my fixed bios here for others to use if they need, you can use hex compare to see how two bytes can stop a healthy hardware to work

    Hi Norberto,
Can I have a really silly question, I have this exact board and I really struggle to identify the bios chip as this board has quite a few windbond flash memories, would you be kind to point me to the right one.
And if may be really cheeky can I ask if you still have the bin file that worked for you ?
    Thank you best regards

    Dear Peste,

I have flashed your bin file.
    Still no luck. ☹️
    State of laptopnis the same.
    Keyboardlight comes on only.
    Any other idea?

    Edit
Withbthe cleaned ME content the laptop shows 2x amber and 1x white lightcode.
That means cpu issue if i am not mistaken.
But with the original content it did not show that.

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
    by Ahari
    Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

    I...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
    by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
    by Akhlz001
    Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook UEFI bios
    by jhanra
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
    by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

    Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
