Re: Dell xps 9343 bios
Try this bios,it has the extracted hdr bios update merged with your dump, and ME ver 10.0.55.3000 .Flash the bios again from the exe if you want to update the ME to 10.0.55.3002 .Attached FilesLast edited by SMDFlea; 10-27-2018, 04:31 PM. -

SPI dump attached, Service tag: 382M893, board LA-J143P
the 3 orange LED blinks happening. Initially the computer'st BIOS self detected corruption of itself and attempted to recover. However it was failing at the very end mentioning it can't downgrade. I indeed disabled downgrade possibility in past but don't understand the reason was this should prevent flashing with same version. Neither full self-revovery or providing it on USB worked and after some attempts it corrupted completely.
The verified dump attached, BIOS section is completely broken, - at its offset it seems to be overwriten with the same content at 0x00 so UEFI Tool or any other doesn't recognize it at all. I'm looking for fixed image preserving service tag and other custom things but also toward understanding what could cause above issues.
Also before all above the bootloader on NVMe disk got corrupted, wondering how can I assure this is not hardware issue

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

by trix11I have a Dell Precision T1650 MT workstation (of the following spec.) that was bricked yesterday when attempting to update the BIOS from A27 to A28 per:

by lalle-Hello!
I have a problem with a Dell G5 SE 5505 laptop that I hope someone can give me a few pointers on.
[OK, it's not really a laptop, I'm running the motherboard on my desktop with only cooling, RAM and an M2 drive attached.]
I had some performance issues, so I decided to update my BIOS from 1.7.0 to the latest version, 1.20.0.
The computer restarted and the update dit not want to continue without a battery connected, even though I used dell's method of bypassing this requirement.
I tried updating to a custom BIOS from Reddit user Satori_Nori https://www... -
by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

Hi all
Anyone come across this issue where a BIOS flash will only part complete?
It will update the system BIOS and Primary EC BIOS fine but fails to update the Intel TBT Retimer, Intel TBT Retimer 2 and ME Firmware.
NVMe m.2 drive isnt detected in the BIOS, but you can get into the BIOS fine and it all works in there as intended.
The drive works fine in another laptop.
Link to a video I made of what its doing here:
Any ideas on how to overcome this?
Cheers... - Loading...
