Re: Asus X205TA Bios Lock
Hello
The binary offered by MURTAZA 527 is not suitable for my laptop.
I am looking for a Bios with Admin pass for ASUS X205TAW.
The current bios is 203 as of 04/23/2019.
I cannot install an older version with WinFlash.
Thanks for your help.Comment

post the backup copy of the original laptop bios.Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Re: Asus X205TA Bios Lock
to extract the bios, I have to unsolder the chips.
Or do you have another solution.
The laptop was flashed with WinFlash under W10, bios 203 on this site:

Tell me if this is not enough for you
Thank you for your help.Comment

Re: Asus X205TA Bios Lock
Yes, I have enough to unsolder and reprogram, but I wanted to avoid this solution (the equipment is in the attic ...).
Can't you change the bios I downloaded so I can flash with WinFlash.?
Maybe the protect code is not in this update section.Comment

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.
I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...-

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

by ArtMovHi guys, i have a problem , my bios resets disabled overclocking lock setting to enable after reboot, please tell me which function can be responsible for restoring the stock config for this option, loading parameters from nvram and so on, like bios ,protection, from asus. My bios made me angry) Set default parameter to disable in amibcp 5 , doesn't help(
1. I made overclocking lock disabled the default in amibcp
2. I changed the varoffset to the wrong one, but it led to the programmer, it was very tedious and nervous, I really regretted it, my chip is on the back of the...-

by lrouw84Hi there,
I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....-
