i have an HP 840 G3 Elitebook with Bios Admin Password.
Can someone help me to remove the Admin Password? I also seen many posted a number ending with MB A01 or so. is it needed and where can i find it?
Perhaps its this from the Sticker inside: 6070B0883401 REV 1.01 A01

I bought used notebook with admin password.
HP Probook 840 G3
s/n: 5CG7060BX6
I downloaded the original bios from Winbond chip and applied the fix mentioned on website: https://tickett.wordpress.com/2018/0...ssword-part-2/
After uploading the modified bin file to the laptop there was a black screen and the fan turned on, but no display.
I tried to upload the original file to the bios again, but the computer with orignal bin also did not start. What could go wrong?

Please help me with bios dump Elitebook 840 G3 (25L12873E SOP8Pin).
I am not able to edit DMi info in bios. Please help me to edit . I tried with Wdmifit utility it shows error while press commit.

Well, it was removed, seems got corrupt dump because of software version, just realised
Now i understand why after I read and saved dump, when I verified got error that content is different.
unfortunately cleared chip and repeogramed with other dumps from this thread, but all the time when i verify after flashing getting same error.
May it be because of programer power supply? I see in 25q128fv datasheet power 3.3v. i am using ch341a blackComment

The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).
I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Hello,
I have an EliteBook 850 G5. After a Windows update, including a BIOS update, the notebook turns on, but the screen remains black, and the fans spin at high speed—nothing else happens.
I assume the BIOS update failed, so I searched for the BIOS chip.
I found a Winbond chip located between the RAM and the hard drive, which has a size of 32 MB.
However, the BIOS update available on HP's website is only 17 MB in size. I used the update version that was previously installed when the notebook was still working.

I need a BIOS dump for MSI Z590 PRO WIFI from a real physical board, along with MAC address and serial no.
It must be a dump from a physical board, as it contains personalized data eg. MAC Address, UUID, Serial no.
