I don't agree that you can blow away surrounding components with max air. The surface tension hold those components in place. You would have to physically move those components to make them fly away.

The only probleem is plastics melting. But on elitebooks, it is usually not a problem. On ProBooks, it is mostly a big problem. On this model, only the thin plasti under SSD will be deformed. Wouldn't call it an issue.

Just remove bios battery before soldering and you should be fine. It might take a while for the bios chip to start moving so please be gentle with the tweezers. Do not use force with the tweezers, it is pointless and harmful.

About desoldering the chip with the hot air station? The job is not hard if you have some experience, if not just use some faulty motherboard to practice, it's a straightforward job, nothing special, just use good flux like AMTECH 213 or 559, use small or medium nozzle and not too much air (you can blow some small surrounding component if you use too much air), I would say half air ahd about 360 C will do the job perfectly.
P.S. Forgot to say - if you have surrounding plastic components, take care to cover it all with the kapton tape, or you will melt something very easily!
And last but not least pay attention about the chip position.

P.S.2 You can watch this youtube video for education, and how to do it.

Locked Setup Fails to Unlock with Correct Password - Inspiron 11 3185
    by Modify_inc
I have a Inspiron 11 3185, and in the BIOS setup under Security it shows "Locked Setup", which limits pretty much everything in the BIOS. I'm using bios-pw.org to generate the codes for the hash, but they never work for the Locked Setup password. The codes generated for the System password and the HDD password work fine, but the code for the Locked Setup password always fails. I don't understand, if it works for the first two, why is it not working for the Locked Setup p/w? Since I can't disable it, anytime I reboot, even after a Windows update, I have to go through the hassle of generating...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
