hello there

I have HP Pavilion DV4- 1435dx

Problem: no display after 2 or 3 sec. turn off then on Again and so on.

mobo info: JAL50 LA-4101P
2009-05-08
REV:1.0


check the Volts have 3v and 5v.

I think it is a Software bios problem...

I don't find BID in your old bios but you can try the following, they are from the official hp web site.....one of those will works for you...

All the different bios for the la-4104p are at post #8 ,if you don`t know your BID number you`ll have to try each bios.

the second one did the job for me.
Pavilion dv4 with LA-4101p, no light at power jack led, turning on and off just for seconds, fans spins up and down. intresting, its not turning on at all without (already dead) battery. flashed the first bios - laptop powers on but no picture. flashed the second one and bingo..
