Re: hp probook 650 g2 corrupted bios
Thanks peste. Didn't have a chance to use your file.
I Managed to get my laptop working again. For those with similar problem. Here is how I did it.
I downloaded latest bios directly from HP website and use UEFITool_v0.26.0 (google it to download) to replace the bios section of the corrupted dump with the bios from HP (N76_0139.bin). Laptop started fine with the modded bios but with "Manufacturer Programming Mode is in Unlock Mode". I then used NbDmiFit_2.10 to set all the manufacture info and lock the mpm. You can get the your hp laptop info from http://pro-psurf-web-glb.austin.hp.com/Search.aspx with serial #.
Installed windows 10 but it's not auto activated

Re: hp probook 650 g2 corrupted bios
Check for windows key in your edited bios and original bios and compare. I doubt, you lost the win key in overwriting bios region with uefi tool. If so, you can re insert it with hex editor.Comment

by studdy05Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

by PhadDear All,
Hope that this post is at the right place of the forum.
I am seeking help and technical advice to remove bios admin password from HP ProBook 4520s.
The laptop is operating normally and, I am not facing any major issue with it except; the bios admin password that I found about by coincidence only few weeks back.
As the laptop is operating normally, I am reluctant to take it to a workshop to de-solder the bios chip in order to read it by an external programmer, as I am not an expert in doing such a thing.

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR
